We're so glad you're here!

Christ UMC has been worshipping with the people of Rockford since 1956. Since then, we've grown an array of ministries for children, youth, adults, and families to gather, grow, and go together to love and serve Jesus Christ, our community, and the world beyond.

Worship With Us

Whether you're new to the Rockford community or just searching for a church home, we would love to meet you at one of our Sunday worship services. Pick a service time that works best for you and come introduce yourself, or tune in online to see what a service at Christ UMC is like.

We hope to see you soon!

  • Discover God's World Walking Group

    October 29

On Tuesday, October 29 at 9:00 AM, Join us at Winnebago County Forest Preserve Headquarters (5500 Northrock Dr., Rockford) to enjoy God’s handiwork as the trees explode with color! Park/meet in the first lot to the right after entering off Bauer Pkwy.

We’ll walk along a ¾ mile paved path with gentle hills that circle the quarry and the restored prairie and has several benches for a rest if needed. For the adventurous, we can extend our walk ¼ mile on a level, mowed path through the marsh and floodplain forest in its fall foliage glory with views of the river. The forest area is home to species of woodpeckers and owls.

    Restrooms/drinking fountain available.
