A Light on My Path
Special Presentation on Depression
Sunday, November 10
2:00-4:00 p.m., Alpine Dining Room
CUMC will be presenting a program on depression, called "A Light On My Path" on Sunday November 10th at 2:00-4:00 pm in the Alpine Dining Room. Our keynote speaker will be Nate Whinnery MS LCPC CADC LPHA, manager at the Mulberry Center at Rosecrance. He will speak on the dynamics of depression: causes, symptoms, and treatment. He will take anonymous questions from the audience.
We will have three members of our congregation speak briefly on their experience with depression. We will have a discussion about mental illness and the church, how to rid our congregation and community of stigma. That discussion will be facilitated by Pastor Violet Johnicker, from Brooke Road UMC. We will have resource tables and light refreshments. If you or a loved one is suffering from depression, please plan to attend. Child care will be provided.
This information will also be on church's Facebook, and you can submit questions.
