At Christ United Methodist Preschool, we believe that every child has the right to a learning environment that supports their developmental needs for growth, learning, and companionship.
We have had the privilege of teaching the kids of the Rockford community for more than 50 years. Throughout this time, we have strived to educate the whole child by providing support for each student's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

The preschool center is centrally located on the east side of Rockford. On the Christ UMC campus, the preschool is located between the Grace and Trinity buildings.

Meet the educators at
Christ United Methodist Preschool
Debbi Thurston, Director: Debbi has a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Development, and has been working in the Early Childhood Education field for over 25 years.
Michelle, Assistant Director: Michelle has an Associate's degree in Early Childhood and has been working in the Early Childhood Education field for over 12 years.
Preschool teachers: Our preschool teachers exceed the DCFS requirements for teachers. Each have a minimum of an Associate's Degree or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, and have more than 5 years of experience working in the field.
