The gift of music is heard throughout our worship services and ministries.  There are plenty of opportunities at the church to express your musical talents, whether you're a singer or play an instrument or want to learn to do either of the above!  We have everything from a traditional sanctuary choir to a praise team that sings contemporary Christian music.  We even have two choirs for children to join in on the fun! 

Director of Worship Arts Jody Warren is always looking for those who feel called to praise God through their music, at whatever level they find themselves. For more information about any of the programs listed below, email Jody at jwarren@christumc.cc.

Alpine Center:

Sanctuary Choir leads worship twice a month, the 1st and 3rd Sundays at our 8:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. worship services from September through May.  Rehearsals are held every Thursday evening from 7:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.  High schoolers through adults are invited to join the choir. 

Wesley Ringers Hand Bell Choir play once a month on the 4th Sunday during the 8:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. worship services. Practices for the hand bell choir are held every Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. - 7:15 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Participants must be able to read music.

Praise Team is our contemporary worship band that leads worship weekly at our 11:00 a.m. worship service.  This group is made up of vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, bass, keyboard and drums.  Auditions are held to better blend the music and voices together. Practices are held every Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. 

Joyful Noise Kids Choir is for children who enjoy singing for fun and to lead worship. The kids also play bells. This choir is for children in 2nd grade through 5th. This children's choir meets every Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. in the Choir room.  Afterward, kids are invited to stay for a Ministry Meal and J.A.M. (Jesus and Me) programs. This choir sings quarterly at our Sunday services and during some events at the church.

Praise Kids Choir is our newest choir for the little ones interested in singing their hearts out for God.  They meet every Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. downstairs in the Great Hall.  This choir is intended for children who are at least 4-years-old up to first graders.  Like the Joyful Noise Choir, these children are invited to stay for a Ministry Meal and J.A.M. (Jesus and Me) programs following choir. This choir will perform periodically for worship and at church events.

Our Master's Center:

Chancel Choir leads worship twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Sundays at Our Master's Center's 9:30 a.m. worship service.  This choir is accompanied by Pianist, Mark McGowan.  The choir rehearsals are held Wednesdays from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. in Our Master's Center's sanctuary.  High schoolers through adults are invited to join the choir.
